Details description

Nickel-based alloy is a high-performance material widely used in various engineering projects in extreme environments. Composed of nickel and other metallic elements such as chromium, molybdenum, and aluminum, it offers exceptional heat and corrosion resistance and mechanical strength, making it particularly suitable for use in high-temperature, high-pressure, and highly corrosive environments. Nickel-based alloy pipes, engineered from this material, offer long-term reliability and durability, effectively reducing maintenance costs and increasing equipment efficiency and service life, making them indispensable components in modern industry.

Chemical Composition

Carbon C≤0.08, Chromium Cr content 17.0~21.0, Nickel Ni content 50~55, Cobalt Co≤1.00, Molybdenum Mo 2.8~3.30, Aluminum Al 0.20~0.8, Titanium Ti 0.65~1.15, Iron Fe balance, Niobium Nb 4.75~5.50, Boron B≤0.006, Manganese Mn≤0.35, Silicon Si≤0.35, Sulfur S≤0.015, Copper Cu≤0.30, Phosphorus P≤0.015, Magnesium Mg≤0.01.

Performance Characteristics

Wide temperature adaptability: This material ensures exceptional overall performance within a broad temperature range from -253°C to 700°C. Below 650°C, its yield strength is superior compared to other high-temperature alloys that undergo deformation.
Outstanding mechanical properties: It exhibits remarkable resistance to fatigue, as well as excellent tensile, creep, and fracture strength. After processing, its tensile strength can reach up to 1700MPa, with a maximum hardness of 450HB.
Exceptional corrosion resistance: The material is highly resistant to a variety of corrosive environments, including acids, alkalis, and salts. Its inherent chemical stability and dense oxide coating effectively protect it in harsh conditions, significantly extending its lifespan.
Excellent machinability and weldability: It can be easily shaped into different forms, such as rods, plates, tubes, strips, and wires. It is compatible with arc welding, plasma welding, and other welding methods, and shows no tendency to crack after welding.

Typical Application Scenarios

Aerospace field: As an ideal material for aircraft engine components, it is widely used in the manufacture of key components such as discs, rings, casings, blades, shafts, fasteners, and elastic elements.
Nuclear Energy field: With its excellent high-temperature and radiation resistance, this material is ideal for the manufacture of core equipment such as reactor pressure vessels and steam generators.
Petroleum Industry field: This material can operate stably in oil extraction and processing environments and is suitable for the manufacture of oil well pipes, refining equipment, and pipelines, capable of withstanding the harsh conditions of high temperature, high pressure, and severe corrosion.

Technical Parameters

The density is approximately 8.24g/cm³, and the melting temperature range is 1260~1320℃.

Processing and Heat Treatment Process

Hot working temperatures range from 1120-900°C, and rapid cooling methods such as water quenching can be used. Annealing should be performed immediately after hot working. Cold working is required after solution treatment, and the work hardening rate is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel. Intermediate annealing should be performed during cold working. Different solution treatments and aging processes impart different performance characteristics to the material. Due to the low diffusion rate of the γ” phase, prolonged aging can effectively improve the alloy's mechanical properties.

FAQ

Q

How to perform daily maintenance and inspection of steel structures during use?

A
Regularly check components for rust, deformation, loose bolts, etc., promptly repair damaged areas, keep the drainage system unobstructed, and regularly repaint with anti-corrosion paint.
Q

What preparatory work needs to be done before installing a steel structure?

A
Component quality and dimensional deviations need to be checked, connecting parts cleaned, installation equipment and tools prepared, and installation plans and emergency response plans formulated.
Q

What are the main differences between light steel structures and heavy steel structures?

A
Lightweight steel structures use thinner steel sections (such as cold-formed steel) and are mostly used for buildings with smaller loads; heavy steel structures use thicker steel sections and are suitable for projects with large loads and spans.
Q

How are the column spacing and span of steel structure factory buildings usually determined?

A
Needs to be comprehensively determined considering production process requirements, equipment layout, material specifications, and economics. Common column spacing is 6-12 meters, and the span is 15-30 meters.
Q

What changes occur in steel structures under high-temperature environments, and how can these be addressed?

A
High temperatures reduce steel strength. Fire protection measures can include applying fire-retardant coatings, encasing with fireproof panels, and installing water spray systems.
Q

What are the common structural forms of large-span steel structures?

A
Common forms include truss structures, space frame structures, grid shell structures, cable-stayed structures, and membrane structures.
