Chemical Composition

Carbon C≤0.03, Silicon Si≤0.80, Manganese Mn≤1.50, Phosphorus P≤0.004, Sulfur S≤0.020, Nickel Ni balance, Chromium Cr 28.5~31.5, Molybdenum Mo 4.0~6.0, Tungsten W 1.5~4.0, Iron Fe 13.0~17.0, Copper Cu 1.0~2.4, Niobium + Tantalum Nb+Ta 0.3~1.5, Cobalt Co≤5.0.

Physical Properties

Density: 8.22g/cm³, Melting point: 1350~1370℃, Specific heat capacity: 388~619J/kg・K, Thermal conductivity: 10.2~16.7W/(m・K).
Mechanical Properties: Possesses high strength and excellent toughness, suitable for applications requiring mechanical stress resistance. Maintains good strength and stability at high temperatures.
Corrosion Resistance: Due to the high chromium content and the combined effect of other alloying elements, it exhibits extremely strong corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and other solutions. Its performance in phosphoric acid is superior to G3, 20 alloy, and 625 alloy. It also has good corrosion resistance to chloride and alkaline solutions and can resist stress corrosion cracking.
Processing Properties: Good hot workability; hot working temperature is typically between 1150℃ and 1200℃, followed by slow cooling after forging. Cold workability is also good and can be processed by cold rolling, cold drawing, and cold bending. However, work hardening may occur during cold working, requiring intermediate annealing. This alloy has good weldability; conventional welding methods are applicable, and post-weld heat treatment is not required.

Application Fields

Mainly used in wet phosphoric acid production and processing, and in nitric acid hydrofluoric acid pickling equipment and components. It is also a selectable structural steel for acidic oil and gas wells. It is also widely used in chemical equipment, aerospace vehicles, nuclear reactors, marine engineering structures, medical devices, high-temperature furnaces, and heat exchangers.
