Chemical Composition
Main components include Nickel (Ni) 38.00 - 46.00%, Chromium (Cr) 19.50 - 23.50%, Iron (Fe) ≤22%, and also contain Molybdenum (Mo) 2.50 - 3.50%, Copper (Cu) 1.50 - 3.00%, Titanium (Ti) 0.60 - 1.20%, etc. Carbon (C) content ≤0.05%, Silicon (Si) ≤0.50%, Manganese (Mn) ≤1.00%.
Physical Properties
Density is approximately 8.14 g/cm³, specific heat capacity 444 J/kg・K (20°C), resistivity 112 μΩ・cm, thermal conductivity 10.9 W/m・K, average thermal expansion coefficient at 20 - 100℃ is 13.4×10⁻⁶/°C, melting point is approximately between 1370 - 1400℃.
Mechanical Properties: 0.2% yield strength ≥235 N/mm², tensile strength ≥580 N/mm², elongation ≥30%, hardness ≤207 HB.
Main Characteristics
Excellent corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance to various acids such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and nitric acid, as well as alkalis such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide, and acyl chloride solutions. The high nickel content gives it excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, while chromium, molybdenum, and copper enhance its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
Good high-temperature performance: It exhibits good mechanical properties at room temperature and at high temperatures up to 550℃, maintaining stability in high-temperature environments and possessing a certain degree of oxidation resistance.
Good processing and welding performance: Its hot and cold processing performance is similar to that of standard austenitic stainless steel. It can be welded using TIG welding, MIG welding, and manual arc welding.
Heat Treatment Methods
Generally, solution heat treatment can be performed at 920 - 1030℃, followed by rapid cooling.
