Details description
Chemical Composition
Carbon (C) ≤0.03, Silicon (Si) ≤0.8, Manganese (Mn) ≤1.20, Sulfur (S) ≤0.020, Phosphorus (P) ≤0.035, Chromium (Cr) 24.0-26.0, Nickel (Ni) 6.0-8.0, Molybdenum (Mo) 3.0-5.0, Copper (Cu) ≤0.50, Nitrogen (N) 0.24-0.32.
Physical Properties: Density 7.8g/cm³, Melting point 1300-1390℃, Thermal conductivity 14.2W/(m・K) (20℃), Coefficient of linear expansion 11.1×10⁻⁶/K (20℃-300℃), Non-magnetic.
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength ≥800MPa, Yield strength ≥550MPa, Elongation ≥15%, Hardness 227HB.
Performance Characteristics
High Strength and Toughness: The dual-phase microstructure, approximately 50% austenite and 50% ferrite, results in higher yield and tensile strength than ordinary austenitic stainless steel, while maintaining good impact toughness, capable of withstanding high pressure and stress.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Exhibits good resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and uniform corrosion, performing exceptionally well in media containing high concentrations of chloride ions, and demonstrating strong resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
Good Weldability: Although welding is more complex than with single-phase stainless steel, good weld joint performance can be achieved by selecting appropriate welding materials, optimizing parameters, and employing suitable post-weld heat treatment, maintaining the dual-phase organizational balance.
Good Thermal Stability: Maintains good corrosion resistance at high temperatures, is not prone to sensitization, and avoids the risk of intergranular corrosion.
Processing Properties: The hot forming temperature range is typically 1200-1025℃. Temperatures that are too low can cause ferrite cracking, while temperatures that are too high may lead to thermal tearing. Solution annealing and quenching treatment is required after hot processing.
Common Specifications: Taking steel pipes as an example, the outer diameter is typically 57mm-2680mm, and the thickness is 1.2mm-60mm.
Application Fields
Widely used in pipelines and casings in the oil and natural gas industry; storage tanks and reactors in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries; evaporators and condensers in seawater desalination and water treatment; and equipment manufacturing in the papermaking and food processing industries, etc.
