Chemical Composition

Main components include nickel (Ni) balance, chromium (Cr) 18.0 - 21.0%, cobalt (Co) 15.0 - 21.0%, aluminum (Al) 1.0 - 2.0%, titanium (Ti) 2.0 - 3.0%, and small amounts of iron (Fe), carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S), copper (Cu), etc.

Physical Properties

Melting point is 1360 - 1390℃, thermal conductivity is approximately 11.47W/(m・K), specific heat capacity is 446J/(kg・K), coefficient of thermal expansion is 11.9μm/(m・K), density is 8.19g/cm³.
Mechanical Properties: At high temperatures, it can still maintain high strength and rigidity. Its tensile strength and yield strength can still maintain a good level at 700℃, and it also has good fatigue performance and can withstand alternating loads.
Heat Treatment Process: Usually includes solution treatment and aging treatment. Solution treatment temperature is 1050 - 1080℃, holding for 8 hours followed by air cooling, and then aging treatment at 710±10℃ for 16 hours.
Process Properties: Good hot working plasticity. In the temperature range of 1050 - 1150℃, the allowable upsetting deformation is 80% without cracking. Plates can be joined by argon arc welding. The weldability in the solution state is good. After welding, stress relief and aging treatment are required. The machinability of the alloy in the solution state is better than that in the aging state.

Application Fields

Mainly used in aerospace, manufacturing turbine engine parts, jet engine nozzles and combustion chamber parts, etc. It can also be used in high-temperature burners and heat exchangers in the energy field, corrosion-resistant high-temperature containers and pipelines in the chemical industry, and oil well equipment in high-temperature corrosive environments in oil and gas exploration.

Hot-rolled bars, plates, forgings and forgings are available. Plates are delivered in the solution state, and other varieties are mostly delivered in the forged or rolled state.
