Chemical Composition

Carbon (C) content is generally 0.04 - 0.07%, Chromium (Cr) is 13.0 - 14.5%, Nickel (Ni) is 5.0 - 6.0%, Molybdenum (Mo) is 1.3 - 1.8%, Copper (Cu) is 1.3 - 1.8%, Manganese (Mn) ≤1.0%, Silicon (Si) ≤0.7%, Phosphorus (P) and Sulfur (S) are both ≤0.03%.

Physical Properties

Density is approximately 7.80 Kg/dm³, and the heat treatment temperature will vary depending on factors such as the shape and size of the steel component.
Mechanical Properties: After proper heat treatment, the strength can reach a maximum value. It has good low-temperature tensile properties under high-temperature tempering and maintains its room-temperature mechanical properties even at liquid nitrogen temperatures. Its tensile strength is typically 930 - 1080 MPa, yield strength is around 780 MPa, elongation is 15%, and hardness is between 277 - 341.
Corrosion Resistance: It has good corrosion resistance in moderate corrosive environments, with properties similar to austenitic stainless steel. It has tolerance to certain acidic conditions and exhibits a low rust rate in marine and industrial environments.
Machining and Welding Properties: It can be processed into various forms such as hot-rolled bars, forged bars, cold-rolled sheets, hot-rolled plates, and forgings. It has good weldability and standard techniques can be used; however, oxyacetylene welding is not recommended. After welding, a heat treatment process of 1050°C solution treatment + 850°C ×2h + 560°C ×4h can be performed.

Application Areas

It is commonly used to manufacture pump shafts, impellers, fasteners, fans, valves, and other components. It is widely used in hydraulic equipment in the oil and gas industry, petrochemicals, shipbuilding and nuclear engineering, and aircraft components such as turbine blades.

Delivery Status

Bars are supplied in forged and rolled, black skin, polished, or turned states; round cakes and ring blanks are supplied in forged state; rings are supplied in solution-treated state; plates are supplied after solution treatment, alkali-acid washing, straightening, and edge trimming; strips are delivered after cold rolling, solution treatment, and descaling; wires are delivered in solution-treated, acid-washed coiled or straight bar form, or in a finely polished, solution-treated straight bar state.
