Details description
Chemical Composition
Main components include nickel (Ni) balance, chromium (Cr) 24.0%-26.0%, iron (Fe) 8.0%-11.0%, aluminum (Al) 1.8%-2.4%, carbon (C) 0.15%-0.25%, and small amounts of manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), silicon (Si), sulfur (S), titanium (Ti), phosphorus (P), zirconium (Zr), yttrium (Y), etc.
Physical Properties: Density is approximately 7.89g/cm³, melting range is 1340-1400℃, specific heat capacity 450J/(kg・℃), resistivity 1.23μΩ・m.
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength ≥680MPa, yield strength ≥270MPa, elongation ≥30%, impact energy ≥55J. It maintains good strength and toughness at high temperatures; for example, it still has a certain tensile strength at 1200℃.
Performance Characteristics
Excellent Creep Resistance: Exhibits outstanding creep resistance at high temperatures, allowing for long-term service under high temperatures and stress without significant deformation.
Strong Oxidation Resistance: Demonstrates excellent oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1200℃, forming a tightly bonded, non-easily peelable alumina layer on its surface, effectively protecting the base metal even under extreme conditions such as cyclic heating and cooling.
Good Carbonization Resistance: Due to its high nickel content, this alloy exhibits excellent resistance to carbonization, maintaining good ductility in carbon-containing gas environments and preventing embrittlement due to carbonization.
Processing and Welding: Can be hot-worked and cold-worked, but processing is relatively difficult and requires appropriate processing techniques based on its characteristics. Welding can use 2.4649 and DIN EN ISO 18274: S Ni 6025 as filler metals, following relevant welding process specifications to ensure welding quality.
Application Areas
Mainly used in industrial furnace construction, such as radiant tubes, bright annealing muffle furnaces, furnace rollers, etc.; also used in the petrochemical industry, such as methanol and ammonia synthesis equipment, pigtails, etc.; it can also be used for radioactive waste vitrification molds, internal components of enamel furnaces, and automotive exhaust system components, etc.
Execution Standards: UNS number is N06025, material number is 2.4633, related standards include ASTM B166, B168, B163, etc.
